HPC Hour: Multiscale, Multiphysics and Multi-pizzas!

HPC Hour: Multiscale, Multiphysics and Multi-pizzas!

This month’s HPC Hour presentation was delivered by Curtin University’s Professor Victor Manuel Calo and was titled: Multiscale, Multiphysics, and Multiresolution Computing in Science & Engineering.

Dr Calo holds the CSIRO Professorial Chair in Computational Geoscience and is a highly cited researcher who is actively involved in disseminating knowledge: he has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications. Dr Calo’s research interests include modeling and simulation of geomechanics, fluid dynamics, flow in porous media, phase separation, fluid-structure interaction, solid mechanics, and high-performance computing.

If you missed his fascinating presentation you can still watch it in full right here.

Unfortunately you did miss the pizza, drinks and networking! But don’t despair you can join us next month.

We’ll be announcing next month’s HPC Hour, and opportunity to network, learn and celebrate HPC and science, very soon. Keep an eye on the blog for details.
