A team of support personnel from DownUnder GeoSolutions’ Perth office were recently plunged into the world of seismic acquisition, interpretation and modelling as they undertook a one day course: “Introduction to the Oil and Gas Industry for Non-Geo’s” conducted by Professor Norm Uren PhD.

The participants all graduated with flying colours and are pictured here proudly displaying their certificates. They all agreed that whilst they enjoyed the course, they would not be rushing to give up their day jobs in the finance, marketing, business development and IT departments!

Prior to his recent retirement, Professor Uren held the position of Professor of Exploration Geophysics at Curtin University. He is responsible for encouraging the careers of our very own company founders, Matt Lamont and Troy Thompson.
