This November, nose neighbours across DUG are combing together to raise mo’ money and mo’ awareness for Movember.
This is not a moment, it’s the movement
All around the world, the Movember Foundation is addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men. These include prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
At home in Perth, DUG’s own mo bros are putting their mo where their mouth is. The DUGstaches have retired their razors to sport some of the finest face furniture this side of a 1970s adult film. All in a bid to change the face of men’s health.
Not since the close shave when the Tom Seleck lookalike conference ran into the Burt Reynolds impersonator convention has there been so much stylish upper lipholstery on display. From snot mops to soup strainers, and from fuzzy caterpillars to crumb catchers, the dapper DUGstaches are making a difference.
Making Mo Money
Movember’s hair-raising journey started in 2003. At home in Australia, a couple of good friends found 30 men who were willing to take up the challenge to be a bro and grow a mo for charity. 30 men growing bristly batons in 2003 became 450 fellows with facial fur a year later. Fast forward 15 years. There are now more than 5 million Mo Bros and Sistas in over 21 countries around the world.
Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,200 projects, saving and improving the lives of men all around the world. And it’s not about the size of the mustache on the men, or the money raised, but the taking part that counts. For more than a decade, Movember has been committed to helping men live happier, healthier, longer lives. And the DUGstaches are proud to be doing their part.
