East Sarawak MC3D Multi-Client 3D Seismic Survey

DUG in partnership with PETRONAS and Searcher are launching a major seismic reprocessing initiative to revitalise the offshore East Sarawak

The project incorporates over 60 legacy 3D surveys covering an area up to 45,000 square kilometers, reprocessed from original field data using advanced FWI imaging technology and pre-stack imaging workflows to produce one seamless 3D seismic volume of superior quality

The project area forms the juxtaposition of three major geological provinces. Data processing workflows will be independently tested and parameters optimised for the highest resolution imaging within each of these environments

The East Sarawak project area holds over 3.5 Bboe (21 Tcf) of Yet-To-Find volumes. The largest YTF volumes in Southeast Asia

The new, reprocessed multi-client 3D dataset will be made available for licensing to petroleum exploration and development companies enabling them to undertake more extensive evaluations of the remaining hydrocarbon potential in and around existing fields and infrastructure

The resulting PreSDM dataset will offer significantly improved imaging of the proven post MMU clastic and carbonate plays and emerging pre-MMU Cycle I and II plays
