We’re thrilled to announce the appointment of Phil Cook to our Perth head office as our Regional Geoscience Manager. Phil is one of Perth’s most respected geophysicists and we are excited about him leading our technical team in Australasia.

Phil started in the industry as a seismic observer in 1980 and became a processing geophysicist early in his career. He joined a small contractor and rode the wave of many buyouts and mergers, working in senior technical and management capacities. In 2001, with an eventual buyout by Fugro, he assumed the role of Regional Manager of Processing, and in 2011 he moved across to the Marine Acquisition department and was made Fugro’s VP Eastern Hemisphere. In early 2013, with the CGG buy out of Fugro Geoscience, Phil was appointed VP Operations, Deputy Regional Acquisition Manager.

Phil is excited about his return to a more focussed geoscience role and his new challenge of leading our service operations in the Australasia region. Welcome to the team, Phil!!
