DUG Supports Institute of Technology of Cambodia

Students at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia are exploring seismic data with the help of DUG Insight — thanks to an academic licence.

Chandoeun Eng, geophysics lecturer and researcher at the Institute, says they have been using DUG Insight for more than two years.

“Using DUG Insight, students are able to improve and process seismic data in order to do advanced interpretation,” Eng told DUG.

“With this help, our students have more confidence and skills after they graduate when they go on to work in the geoscience industry.

“When students are able to visualise results in 3D using DUG Insight, they can better see and understand subsurface features and structures more clearly, giving them a clearer interpretation of subsurface data,” Eng said.

DUG Insight’s academic licence doesn’t only benefit students at the Institute. Eng said faculty can also learn and strengthen their knowledge of seismic processing, visualisation, and interpretation using the latest version of DUG Insight.

DUG has very strong ties to academia and research, and we appreciate everyone in the educational community. To help further support students and faculty our free academic licence for DUG Insight is available to anyone eligible.
