In early May, we were notified of a security vulnerability in the Slurm software running on our system. Following the notification, we rapidly disabled access to the cluster to ensure that the vulnerability was not exposed. Our IT, Software, and Support experts worked through the weekend to patch and then deploy the updated software on our systems.
The maintenance was conducted in a manner to minimise the impact to clients while taking no risk with respect to system security.
Maintaining and protecting the security of our clients’ data and the integrity of our systems is of paramount importance to DUG. We are grateful for the patience and understanding of our clients while we worked on this issue.
