We are honoured to announce that DUG’s Principal Geophysicist (QI), Sagar Ronghe will be presenting tomorrow at the first-ever Virtual GeoCon 2020.
Attendees at the virtual event run by the Geological Society of the Philippines are urged not to miss this presentation titled: Reducing exploration risk through probabilistic characterisation of a basin-floor fan.
The paper was written by Sagar Ronghe and Anne Locke and will be presented by Sagar Ronghe at 14.30 (PHST) on December 1, 2020.
As described in the abstract, the presentation includes the following: A quantitative interpretation study comprising depth-dependent statistical rock physics modelling, absolute simultaneous inversion, probabilistic lithology and fluid predictions, and reservoir property estimations was successfully conducted in the Carnarvon Basin, WA. Objectives were to characterise the 3D distributions and properties of high porosity sands that occur in multiple lobes of a Jurassic basin-floor fan. Derived reservoir property volumes will be useful in prospects appraisal and risk assessment.
There will be time for Q&A following the presentation.
