The West Australian newspaper featured us in its business section today with the announcement of a new partnership between DUG and the Harry Perkins Institute for Medical Research.
The institute is set to begin storing and analysing large amounts of data at our high-performance computing facility in Perth. The Harry Perkins Institute is one of Australia’s leading medical research institutes investigating diseases affecting the community. HPCs are used to look for disease mutations, analyse cell behaviour and can depict the various cells present in a patient’s tumour.
With the extra data storage and analytic capabilities the researchers will be able to extend the work they are doing and accelerate the completion rate.
