Our London office has been busy during the Christmas break gearing up to launch into 2013, ready for business. This is the scene our Chief Technology Officer, Stuart Midgley was faced with when he arrived in London to set up the IT requirements. Stuart has been working round the clock installing 110 teraflops (24,800 cores) of compute capacity together with a significant storage cluster. This brings the global level of DownUnder GeoSolutions’ compute capacity to more than 60,000 cores.
Stuart has also installed all the state-of-the-art work stations for our team of 12 talented geophysicists who have hit the ground running this week at our office at 81 Piccadilly, Mayfair. The team, led by Julian Sherriff as Geoscience Manager and Howard Davies as Business Development Manager can now offer the complete range of DownUnder GeoSolutions’ services including:
o Seismic time processing
o Seismic depth imaging
o High resolution processing
o Quantitative Interpretation (attributes, inversion and rock physics)
o Velocity model building / depth conversion
o Seismic acquisition planning (including effective illumination studies)
o Experience in marine and land, 2D and 3D, OBC, and onboard or in the field.
