UWA Science faculty meets Bruce.

The team from the University of Western Australia’s Center of Exploration Targeting met with us this week to learn about our Perth supercomputer, ‘Bruce’, our DUG McCloud platform, and high-performance computing services.

Our founder and MD, Dr Matt Lamont presented to the group, sharing how our HPC can accelerate their research and development, and followed up with a tour of our immersion-cooled computer facility. It was great to meet the team from UWA as many of our DUG employees started their academic careers under their tutelage.

The team took the opportunity to #touchthegreen and feel the difference of our DUG Cool immersion cooling system.

The DUG Cool system is our advanced, flexible and modular dielectric-fluid cooled solution which greatly reduces energy usage and costs, and increases the life and efficiency of our computer hardware. (Patent Publication WA 2017/091862A1).

We were recently awarded the DCD 2019 Enterprise Data Centre of the Year Award for a Houston data centre using the same technology. You can learn more about our DUG Cool technology in a free webinar hosted by our Chief Engineer, Mark Lommers here: https://event.on24.com/wcc/r/2531959/9577298591347A2FB07160F6A714B629?mode=login&[email protected]
